This is a letter of recommendation for Chef Jay P. Ruff. I came to know the Chef when he held a Pop-Up-Kitchen at my daytime eatery, Delicious. Chef Jay packed the house, with his unique twist on Sicilian Cuisine. That was about seven years ago and I consider Jay a close friend. Jay came on board shortly after his Pop-Up event. He quickly helped me straighten out the problems I was having with the staff and that turned into a better business.

Our time at Delicious was limited to down turns in the economy and familial issues. The Chef brings joy and positivity to any situation. He has boundless energy and creativity. His ability to work with anyone willing to learn is second to none. Jay lives by his motto, "there are no stupid questions, unless you have already asked me twice." Jay is a born leader and if you are trainable, he can train you.

If I had the opportunity, I would hire Jay for any position in any business. Chef Jay Ruff would make an excellent part of your team. If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy candidate, look no further. If you are looking for energy and positivity, look no further. If you are looking for someone to grow with your business, look no further. If you are looking for someone to toe the line or keep the status quo, I would keep looking.

Sincerely,

Robert E.  Denvir

The food menu, masterminded by chef Jay P. Ruff, is a very eclectic mix of bar snacks, sandwiches, salads, and mains where tacos, nachos, poutine, crab wontons, steak frites, and salmon three ways exist side-by-side. Weekend brunch features chicken and waffles and green eggs and ham.
